Dehler racer design

We commissioned a local designer (Velox Design) to pen a new rudder for our customer's Dehler 39. He was suffering multiple spin-outs and broaches with the stock item, and this is his feedback after a 280 mile off shore race from UK to France and back :

"We would definitely have had more spin outs without this. The rudder has effectively reduced the skill level needed to be able to control the boat which will mean that more people will be able take a turn – quite useful when we race in the Fastnet.

I’m not too sure what the effect has been on straight-line upwind speed as we have had so many calibration and sail change issues but my feeling is that you can give yourselves and your designer a big thumbs up!"
