C&C C&C27 Mk1 Rudder

We had a damaged C&C 27 Mk1 rudder come into the shop for replacement. We measured it up and built a new blade and post to the original dimensions (but lighter!)

The Mk3 shape is also a possible replacement for the Mk1.

C&C C&C27 Mk3 Rudder

The C&C 27 web people were not only nice enough to put a dimensioned sketch of the MkIII rudder online, but they also included a link to Phil’s Foils. We’ve now built a few of these, both for wheel and tiller steering.

The Mk3 shape also makes a nice upgrade for the Mk1 and Mk2.

C&C C&C27 Mk5 Rudder

This one’s for the transom-hung C&C 27 MkV. We guarantee our replacement will be much lighter than the factory unit while being more than strong enough.

C&C C&C30 Redwing Rudder

The story on this design is a bit different. A customer requested an updated rudder to replace the rather dated “scimitar” rudder design on his boat. We did a bit of research and came to agreement on this design. He provided a newly fabricated post, but then put the project on “indefinite hold” and eventually disappeared from sight. So we have a nice design, waiting for the first customer.

C&C C&C33 Rudder

Our customer provided detailed drawings, and we reproduced his delaminated rudder with high quality and much lower weight – thanks in part to using a carbon fiber post. ‘glass over CNC-milled foam core construction.

The blade was built around his original rudder post. The replacement is higher in aspect ratio (and lighter, due to construction method).
